Egginton History Association

The Egginton History Association comprises a small group sharing a common interest in researching Egginton’s history, recording it for future generations and displaying the fruits of their labours for others to enjoy.

Meetings are held 4 to 6 times a year to share information and to direct activities.

Current projects include:

  • Analysing census data between 1841 and 1911
  • Making a photographic record of all village dwellings, corresponding to the 2011 Census.

The Egginton Heritage Centre (situated in the Old Post Office, behind the Memorial Hall) is used for the display and storage of memorabilia.  The centre is open on the afternoon of the third Wednesday in the month between 2 pm and 4 pm.

All are welcome to visit and look through the information held.

Why not come along on a Wednesday afternoon and see for yourself?

Please share with us any photographs, memorabilia or artefacts either for copying or retention for display in the Heritage Centre.    Come and show us what you have!

New members are most welcome and membership is free!
